Bad Astronaut was an indie / experimental rock band with a very unique and original sound, founded in 2000 by Joey Cape, singer from Lagwagon. In Bad Astronaut, Joey Cape explores a new style of pop, and their lyrics are often about deep and intricate personal matters. The band has since decided that its latest release will be its last, after longtime friend (original drummer for Lagwagon and Bad Astronaut), commited suicide on March 30, 2005. Joey and Todd have since started another Bad Astronaut-esque project called Afterburner. They have released 4 acoustic songs via their Myspace pageso far.
